If you have free time and are willing to contribute to the project, you are very welcome.

We are looking for people for different positions, mainly for coding and documentation. Even though both are most welcome, there currently seems to be more need for documentation to be reworked and updated.

If you want to find out who is currently working on what, you can take a look on the 'About us' page.

Positions to fill:

Programmers

If you feel like hacking on the source, thats the place to be. You should of course join the mailing list, and might also want to look into the ntfs documentation currently available.

Documentation Maintainers

If you have information or experience with the ntfs project, you can become a valuable source of information by sharing your knowledge in the Documentation Wiki. Any help there is greatly appreciated! You can start right away, the wiki is open to everyone. Please be aware, that we have to step back to an old page in case your changes seem not reasonable or inaccurate. Therefore it's always a good idea to send a short note to the mailing list if you plan to make major changes to the wiki.

Forum Moderators

Since developers would like to concentrate on programming, there is also quite a need for people willing to help in the forums. If you feel like helping, and don't have much time, just take a look around every now and then. Once you have a few (helpful;-) posts, you are most welcome to apply for the position of a moderator.

Send Patches or provide new Information

In case you just want to send some new info, there is a section in the forum called 'Bug Reports and submitting Information'. This is the right place if you have made some usefull changes to the code you want to share, or you have gained information on improving compilation, distribution or such. You can also try the mailing list, but please don't expect an answer, as developers are quite busy:-(

Thanx to anyone helping, your help is appreciated!
