Note that most distribution already includes the ntfsprogs package,
or you could install it by using apt-get, dselect, aptitude, urpmi,
yum, emerge, etc.

NTFS Tools and Library
The ntfsprogs package contains userspace tools: mkntfs, ntfscat,
ntfsclone, ntfscluster, ntfscp, ntfsfix, ntfsinfo, ntfslabel, ntfsls,
ntfsresize, ntfsundelete, etc and a shared NTFS library.
This package does neighter require nor contain the NTFS kernel
driver.
LDM Tools
This package contains the kernel driver to read the LDM database.
It also contains two tools. ldminfo prints information about the
LDM database in several formats. ldmutil allows you to alter
the contents of the LDM database.
